Developmental update

No pictures right now, but it seems like the girls get new skills every other day.

Yesterday, Mae cried when Dave took a toy away from her. (It was time to eat, he wasn't just being mean!) Now they both sometimes get upset when their caretaker (Dave, my parents or me) goes out of sight.

Dave noticed that Adi is trying to push up to her knees during tummy time. She doesn't get very high but does try to lift her belly off the ground. It's a big belly, so she has a ways to go! She hasn't show much interest in rolling over- in fact, during tummy time she pushes her head up so high and stable that it is difficult to make her roll over. But she did roll over last week for the 4th time in her life.

Mae is really enjoying rolling from tummy to back. I think she's only doing it in one direction (rolling over the left side of her body). She is very deliberate: she arches her back and leans her head back, lifts her right arm straight out and over, and waits for gravity to do its work. The funniest thing is she is trying to do this when she is being held.

Did you just change the name of the blog? or the title? I just noticed and I like it!

i wish we could see those little movers and shakers. Now you know why I wrote weekly 'development updates' and couldn't fit in everything!

Mmm. I am puzzled by the new equation: d^2 + (a + m) ?

All the new pictures are just so adorable. Pushing up on her knees? Sounds like crawling isn't too far behind!

Regarding the title: yes, I did just change it. We used to be d-squared (d^2), now we have two more members of the family: d^2 + a + m.
